Generation Beauty Toronto 2016

The moment I walked into Generation Beauty at the Metro Toronto

Convention Centre I couldn’t wait to get this blog post up! Generation Beauty is a make up and beauty convention that brings together beauty gurus, make up junkies, and all your favourite brands together in one big room. This was their first time coming to Canada, and I hope they’ll be back next year!

My favourite booths were Too Faced, Smashbox, Tarte and NYX. The lineups were all very long, anywhere from 20-45 minutes each, but you got some great products at each booth. The Too Faced booth was a lot of fun, they colour matched you and gave you a full size of their brand new Born This Way Concealer that launches next month, and then you were given a token to play a game, which I won a Melted Lipstick.

The Smashbox booth was so quick, they had lots to do, and you got a full size of one of their famous primers, I got the hydrating one which I love! The Tarte line was really long, but you got a full sized Tartiest Lash Paint Mascara. The NYX line was ridiculously long the entire weekend, which I thought was weird because their products are so inexpensive, but their booth was large, it offered a photo booth, makeup artists,a selfie wall, and a vending machine.

My only issue was the Makeup Forever booth, it was closed the entire time because it was so full, and when they’d open up the line again, it was only for a short window of time. I hope next year they can take over a large space and have more room for a better line up.

Overall I got a ton of free makeup (the only thing I bought was a Delectable - bottled brilliance everything balm, $10 no tax), I told the ladies at the gift bag station that I would not be making it Sunday since I had to be back in Montreal and ended up getting my Sunday gift bag as well which was awesome. It was a fun event, met some fun equally make up obsessed ladies, my feet were sore cause of standing in line ( I wore wedges, learned my lesson) but over all I left happy. AMAAAAAAZING HAUL!!!
