Dior has definitely put their best foot forward in 2016 with the launching of its new pump: The Dioressence. The house reinterpreted its classic heel from Dior’s spring 1959 collection with modern updates and fresh colors.
The company says the original heel was a first for its time. It was convex and made with metal, as opposed to wood, which was the norm then. The new Dioressence pumps echo that same sleek heel, with a low-cut front.
The pumps are offered in a range of colors, the staples being black and pink, which Christian Dior said was “the color of happiness and femininity.”
The shoes are also offered in ochre, military green, cognac, “Trafalgar” red, bronze, white, anthracite gray, inky, azure, navy and midnight and are available in lambskin or calf.
