For winter 2015/16 we shall say goodbye to ombre and hello to the softer more subtle sombre.

We all know ombre is when darker roots fade to a lighter end color. Proper ombre has no highlight at the roots, and the light color on the ends has no shade of the dark root color.

Sombre is a way to take your summer hair into winter, works for blondes, brunettes and redheads equally. A faded look with highlights added around the face and a gradual fade to a brighter shade of your natural color.Ask your colorist to focus on vibrant, face-framing highlights in the front while adding softer pieces all around the rest of your head.Just like ombre, the worn-in look is perfectly low-maintenance, there’s no need for constant touch-up since the grown out roots will not be very visible.

Alrightyyyyy, I'm off to book a hair appointment now
